Indoor enviornmental quality doesn't only mean bringing the environment inside the building it also has to do with the air quality that runs
threw the school. This is important because studies show the air inside the buildings can be 2/5 times more polluted then the air outside. Another important detail about indoor environmental quality is research shows a cleaner indoor environment increases productivity and causes fewer sick days.

Solar Tracking Skylights
Solar Tracking Skylights let in extra light and heat. They are like windows on the ceiling and opens the windows to the sun, they also reduce electricity use because they generate up to 4 times as much light as traditional skylights. A Solar Tracking Skylight use GPS mirrors to track the suns movement across the sky then reflect the light evenly into the building. No external power source is needed. Each skylight is powered by a built in solar cell. Solar tracking skylights capture the maximum amount of sunlight when the sun is at a low angle in the sky, this is the case near sunrise and sunset when its chilly also during winder months less sunlight is brought in. Although in winter months/ cloudy days light is decreased by 20% but its still more than origanal.

They emit greenhouse gases that help destroy our environment. VOC's are ten times higher in enclosed areas and can lead to both short term and long term health risks. Which include asthma, headaches, nausea and liver failure or damage to the nervous system. Sense these dangerous materials can be found in our carpets we walk on everyday most new buildings prevent them and i think we should to.
No flooring has been able to accomplish this untill we found green floors. it helps with extra low emmisions and odar. For our new expansion to k.i.h i think we should put in green floor carpet tiles, we would then also be saving 60% more than what the oringal purchaser paid for them, helping our body's and our environment.
if we can find a color that we agree on and fits well then we can experience tremendous savings and keep these leftovers out of our landfills.
